On the Farm Quilting was conceived in the middle of a recent move while my husband was lifting one of the many large plastic bins (the biggest they make!) full of my quilting fabric.
He suggested that I open a quilt store so that (hopefully) some of my inventory would be
reduced. I looked at my mom and we both thought "Hey that is a great idea!" And so here we are! Unfortunately for my husband I still have most of that fabric still tucked in plastic
bins and my stash keeps growing exponentially.

Here at On the Farm Quilting we love to share the thrill of learning to produce something from your own hand. I learned sewing and embroidery from my mom who is a consummate seamstress and used to sew all of the family clothing. She is now my business partner and I am now teaching her how to quilt. We hope that you enjoy our website and if you are ever in our little town of Fruitport that you will stop in and visit us.
